FNT released the new album “The Infamous” from Humanifesto.

Canada’s Humanifesto step to the forefront of Montreal’s burgeoning punk scene with their sophomoric release, The Infamous. Unconventional vegans with a good sense of humor, their last release was a tribute to NOFX’s legendary Fuck the Kids 7″, on which the band kept NOFX’s music and vocal melodies, but replaced the lyrics with their own politically charged lyrics. All 12 tracks here, and the album title, are anagrams of the band’s name. The process might have been different from their first album, A Declaration of Intent, but the result is the same: fast, energetic, and catchy punk on a recording that captures all the intensity of their live shows. Having shared the stage with notable acts such as Propagandhi and Strike Anywhere, and with a heavy touring schedule already planned for 2010, Humanifesto are sure to inspire and make new fans everywhere they go!

FNT released the new album “LUX” from Disappears.

“Disappears” are that rarest of musical things, a ‘Rock’ band affiliated with the experimentally-minded Kranky Records. But at least they are a Rock band and not some less than reasonable facsimile, because let’s face it; most bands using that descriptor would not sonically intimidate your grandmother if she were alone in a dark alley. And deliver the granite the Disappears do from the opening chords, delivering scuzzy, driving rhythms that certainly imply a threat of ill will. Drawing on a combined reverence for reverb, heavy tremolo, distortion, delay and repetition, Disappears play minimal Rock music inspired by Krautrock, Punk Rock, the mid ’80s New Zealand scene, and a bit of everything in between. And in their minimalist approach, the band finds their real strength, hammering home chord structures that are tried and true and can and do remain fresh in the hands of the right talents such as these. As a wise man once said, ”keep it simple stupid”.

A carnival group is introduced, led by Samuel, who tries to recruit more people with abilities into his carnival family in hopes of creating a community for these people where they are welcome to be open with their abilities and respected by outsiders. In the series finale, “Brave New World”, Claire reveals the existence of people with special abilities to a group of reporters and photographers……
