In 1931, Sid says goodbye to the family. Walter, feeling guilty attempts to keep the body hidden in the coal cellar but it is soon discovered by Gracie and Elizabeth. Gracie's dreams of leaving with are ruined after finding out what Walter has done. Sid gives Gracie a ticket in case she changes her mind. Gracie ends up giving one of the tickets to Violet so that she can start a new life. Walter, Gracie and Elizabeth end up hiding the body in the attic and attempt to become a family once more. In 2011, Nick is worried about Poppy's safety, but she is soon brought back home by Michael. A row ends up breaking out. Frank makes two big announcements the first being that he's giving Ellie the lease to the house and the second that he's moving into a care home. Poppy is able to get the family to agree to let her have the attic room and she wants to decorate it. After Nick's hammer crashes through the attic wall, the body within it is discovered along with it's secrets.
