The Sunshine Murders is about an unlikely crime fighting duo made up of two very different sisters. Shirley, a farmer from New Zealand and in search of her father, travels to Athens and meets her half-sister & detective, Helen. Shirley soon starts to help Helen solve crimes with her ‘bush’ wisdom and wit while they try to find their missing father.

When Greek detective Helen Moustakas is approached by New Zealand farmer Shirley Rangi, who claims to be her half-sister, she is reluctant to believe her, but agrees to a DNA test. Helen is called to investigate the death of an archaeologist – a mystery which Shirley proves unexpectedly, although accidentally, helpful in solving.
